Saple

Featured is a hand crafted Native American Style 6 hole flute in the key of F# by Dave McGiffin. The flute is made from Saple. The bird is crafted from Holly and attached with black deer hide and glass beads. There are 2 sets of 3 bands burned in... one set near the mouth and the other between the TSH and first hole.  The bore is 7/8” the overall length is 21-3/4”. The flute has been dipped in tung oil to help protect from moisture on the inside and several coats have been applied on the outside as well. This flute has a very responsive and tranquil sound.
